Life Update

It has been almost an entire month since I wrote a blog post.  I was terrified that I wouldn't remember my password to even log on, which let's be honest I still don't know and luckily it was saved on my computer.

A lot has been happening in our lives and, unfortunately, blogging has taken the furthest back burner available.

A quick update on our lives since Christmas:

We ran in the New Year and my birthday with our best friends via FaceTime and made it to midnight Kentucky time, where they currently live.

We found out that Baby E is a boy!  :)  We are thrilled and over the moon excited and can't wait to meet him.  He will be here in just about 4 months and I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by.

Three days after we found out Baby E was a boy we got a scary email stating that there might be something wrong with me which could cause a problem with him.  Luckily we went to a specialist and found out that the original tech just made a mistake and me and Baby E are completely fine!  Thank goodness.  The fear of losing him was more then I could handle that night and just hearing that he was fantastic and growing great made everything better.

On top of all of this craziness I have had one dog away at school, one dog at home trying to sleep in our bed daily, one hunting husband and one hyper toddler.  This mama is tired and as crazy as it is, I can't wait to add Baby E to the mix!

Also, the main reason I haven't been blogging, work.  Work sucks right now.  I am in the process of training someone on my job.  My amazing co-worker took another job, so I asked for her position.  Unlike, what I assume is like other companies, my company has made us both wait to make these moves until we can find someone to do my job properly.  This has proven to be way more difficult then any of us ever imagined.  We have been looking for someone since September and although we hired a person, they are not meeting our expectations.  This alone is the biggest reason for stress in my life right now and why blogging has taken the back burner.

I am both shocked and excited to say that I just completed this post while my toddler ran around the living room entertaining himself, so maybe there is hope that more posts will be coming??

I would love to publish the following posts in the not so distant future:
December Budget Update
January Budget Update
Recipes
17 month Caleb Update
Owning 2016

If you have eagerly waited for posts, I hope you enjoyed finding out why I have been absent.  I hope you continue to stick around.

  1. Moving into a new role at your current company can be so hard!! I did it a little over a year ago...and just felt like I was stuck doing two jobs for so long. It's definitely not easy...but hopefully things get better at work soon!

  2. totally understand this. I think that is crazy that a job would make you take the responsibility of finding and training a replacement...that's HR's job man! you're doing great, and of course I always hope to see more of you around here. glad you and that baby boy are doing good!
