31 Day Outfit Challenge - Week 2

So here we are.  Another week down in my August clothes challenge.  As much as I love challenging myself, I do find myself wanting to go back to my typical 7 outfits.  I guess that's why this is beneficial right?  But despite my wants to wear my favorites, I have completed another 7 days of different outfits.  It is definitely a challenge, but a fun one. :)

August 8th:

These pants are so old I don't even remember where they are from.  This shirt is super comfy but super see through so it has to have a cami underneath.  I would never think of pairing these two together because although the lighting makes it look like their is green in the shirt, it is actually gold.  I think it turned out nicely and is sort of the whole point of this challenge.

August 9th:

Talk about a comfy shirt?  This amazing shirt is heavenly and exactly what my Sundays are made of.  #momlife for sure paired with an old pair of Old Navy shorts.

August 10th:
I have been eyeing this beauty for weeks, if not months now, and then I finally bit the bullet and bought it.  I love how the pink top isn't anywhere else in the skirt portion, but it all works together.  I wore this to work Monday morning and flew off to our vacation in it and it was the perfect flightware.

August 11th:
I snagged this super cute and comfy sweater boyfriend shirt from Old Navy the weekend before our vacation for $3!  Can't beat it!  Paired it with my favorite jeans and called it a day.

August 12th:
I didn't notice that this picture was blurry until I posted it on here, so sorry for that!  I got this top off of a mystery grab bag from GroopDealz.  They had a grab bag of three items for $12.99!  This adorable anchor top was in it along with 2 other adorable items that hopefully will be making an appearance later in the month.  Paired it again with my favorite jeans and headed out for a fun day on vacay!

August 13th:
My gal Karissa is killing it with her company and their amazing items!  If you haven't checked out her boutique yet, you need too!  I had been loving this top ever since she showed it as a new arrival, and just like with the dress above, I finally bit the bullet and bought it!  It is softer then I could have ever imagined it being and it is so fun with the aztec on the front and the pink on the back and pocket.  Paired with my favorite Old Navy shorts for a fun Thursday-on-vacation look.

August 14th:
Let's call this my grandma dress day because I just threw on a classic soft shirt and my $7 jeans.  Comfy and classic - my go-to.

Another week completed.  I am proud of myself and can't wait to show you what I wear for week 3 of the challenge!

Hello Due Date

So it is August 28th...that is 40 weeks of being pregnant with this little one.

This is the day no one thought we would make it to.  Bless their hearts - "You're too tiny to carry a baby to full term."

Obviously my body and baby didn't agree with everyone else.

We have been dealing with false labor for two weeks now.  I am getting to the point where I don't think he will ever come out and join the world.  Of course, I know he will and I am just being a crazy head dramatic, but it starts to do something to your brain when you hit the "due date"

From the beginning everyone at the hospital and doctors appointments have said that only a baby will know his or her birthday.  Was I being naive when I thought he would come early?  Or just super hopeful?

I want him healthy, of course.  But this mommy is ready to meet her little bundle of love.

Will he have my nose or his daddy's?

Will he have lots of hair or was all this heartburn for nothing?

Will he be tall and skinny like his daddy?  Or a little plumper like his mama?

We know he will have attached earlobes - something our FRAMLY is very obsessed with!

We assume he will have light eyes since both of us do.

So unless he decides to surprise us, which I am still hoping for, he will be born next week due to induction.

Please keep us all in your thoughts with positive thinking.  I will update the blog as much as possible until and when he makes his arrival.

38 Week Bumpdate

So I am hoping that this will be my last Bumpdate.  I guess only the little boy inside of my tummy can determine that for sure though.

We went to the doctors on Tuesday and things are moving along nicely according to my doctor.

I was 1 centimeter dilated and 50% effaced.  She stripped my membranes in hopes that it will help labor progress.

We are now in the home stretch and the definite, not so fun, part of the waiting game.

I have gained a total of 30 pounds now and am fine with that.  I assume I will end this pregnancy with a total weight gain of 35 pounds.

The doctor estimates that little boy is around 7 pounds right now which makes me the happiest mama ever!  I was so fearful that we would be looking at closer to a 9 pound baby.  I know things can change, but this positive estimate makes me thrilled - and my lady parts too!

At 38 weeks, Baby Hughes is the size of a celery bunch.  He is approximately 19 inches this week.  He is now breathing and urinating more often and has his meconium ready for his daddy! :)

We have the diaper bag packed and in the car ready to go.

The car seat is also installed.  I am determined that if you have any questions on how strong your marriage is, try installing a car seat and building a crib together.  We survived but it was tough. :)

His nursery is together and ready for him, although there are still a few projects to finish before I will post pictures of it.

We can't wait to meet our little boy.  Please send positive thoughts our way for his safe journey into this world - hopefully while you are reading this :)

A Little Bit of He and She made us Three!

Is the title for this post a little confusing??  

Well I promise you in about 2 seconds it will make plenty of sense :)

You see, the husband and I have made a Hughes!  That's right folks, Ryan and I are having a baby!!!! :)

We are beyond thrilled and excited to welcome this new addition to our family!

I know you are like, "Jeez Sara!  Shut up already and give us the real facts!"  Alright, alright.  Here ya go!

We are due August 28th, 2014!

We found out we were pregnant on December 21, 2013!  Merry Christmas to us!!!

We had our first ultrasound on January 17, 2014!  We heard the heartbeat and saw our little one!

We waited to tell our parents until after the first ultrasound, which means that I kept a secret for 4 weeks!!! 4 weeks people!!! INSANE!!!!!

We are over the moon excited and can't wait to meet our little!!!
